Asif Still Holed Up In Dubai
Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Asif was on Wednesday still being detained in Dubai on suspicion of carrying drugs.
Asif, who was returning to Pakistan from Mumbai where he had turned out for Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League, was detained early on Sunday after a small quantity of powder was found in his wallet by United Arab Emirates customs officials.
Pakistan Cricket Board media manager Raza Rashid told PA Sport that the PCB was still awaiting results of a urine test carried out on Asif as well as results of the laboratory test of the substance found in his possession.
"We should get those results anytime now," Rashid said
"The UAE authorities will decide whether to press charges or to release Asif only after the results of the tests are known."
