ICC Fines Australia And West Indies For Slow Over-Rates During 1st Test In Jamaica
Australia and West Indies have been penalised for their slow over-rates during the first Test in Kingston, Jamaica, which concluded recently.
According to an AAP report, the fines were imposed after the sides were found to be short by five overs when time allowances were taken into account.
Australia skipper Ricky Ponting and his counterpart Ramnaresh Sarwan were fined 50 per cent of their match fees with each of their players receiving 25 per cent fines, as per the ICC Code of Conduct.
