Explosion At Trent Bridge
Emergency services were today called to attend an explosion just yards from where thousands of people were attending England's final npower Test against New Zealand at Trent Bridge.
While cricket fans were watching England's progress on the second day, emergency services attended an incident nearby after a paint canister burst in the club's maintenance store room this morning.
One member of staff was taken to hospital as what Nottinghamshire described as "a precautionary measure" to receive treatment for a minor hand injury but no members of the public were involved and the incident did not affect play.
Nottinghamshire have confirmed the room has now been secured and there were no public access restrictions inside the ground.
